Autoresponder Messages

Autoresponder Messages - Building Interest. If you are doing internet marketing and are using your autoresponder mainly to sell products or services, you need
to be very careful as to how you approach your potential customers. Not very many people like a hard sale. Internet marketers have known all along that in many cases, prospects must read your message an average of seven times before they decide to make a purchase.

How to accomplish this with autoresponders
It is quite simple, in fact, the autoresponders make getting those messages to your potential customers those seven times possible. Without the use of autoresponders, you could not achieve that on the Internet. It is common for internet marketers to make the mistake of literally slamming the potential customer with a hard sales pitch with the first message. It is no wonder why they won't make sales and their lists keep shrinking. Again. Sending the first message with hard sales pitch will no work.

You need to build interest slowly by starting with an informative message
This message needs to educate your subscriber in one way or another on the specific product or service you are sending them. At the bottom of the message, include the link to the sales page for that specific product. Use that very first message to focus on the problem that your product or service will solve for them. Give them just a hint of the solution.

Build up from there
Move into how the product or service will solve their problem. In the next message, ease into the benefits of your product. Give your reader more actual information with each message. In your final message is when you should include the sales pitch - not on the first one! Make sure that you are giving your customer valuable information than pertains to the topic with each message. Keep giving them free information because this is what will keep them interested in what you have to say. If the topic is interesting enough, they will be waiting for the next email.

This type of marketing is an art and it may take a little bit of time to get it right. Just keep working on it until you become proficient because practice makes perfect. Read other marketers' emails and use them as examples. Pay careful attention to those messages that you receive from them. Create a special folder and save those emails in that folder so you can refer to them later. Use the best sales copy for your own autoresponder messages but make sure not to just copy them. You don't want to send some else messages. You need to get ideas from those messages and write them to resemble your own style.

You need to remember not to start with a hard sale. Build interest from your potential customers. Keep them engaged and keep building on what the problem is. Keep showing them how your product or service can solve that problem or fill whatever need they have. By the time the potential customer reads the last message in the series, they will be convinced enough to make a purchase! This is when you will know you are doing this correctly.

There are 2 great autoreponder services out there that you might want to look at if you would like to start using one. They are GetResponse and aWeber.
